Minneapolis Southside Singers — Week of 8/24

Greetings, Singers.

Here we are in the last full week of August!
Enjoy these waning days of summer —
State Fair, Summer Harvest, and shorter, cooler days upon us.

No Sing Outs until Friday, September 11th.
And we continue rehearsing for our concert in October.

Announcements

* There will be NO rehearsal on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th.
Regular rehearsal resumes on Monday, 9/14.

* Friendly reminder — monthly dues for Southside Singers is $10.
Soprano Janelle serves as our treasurer. See her with questions and payment.

* Please search through your music at home and bring Battle Hymn of the Republic if you have it. We have started to prepare this piece for our concert.

* We have also started rehearsing a new piece, Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor for the concert. If you missed rehearsal, see Sue for music.

* Looking ahead…we have also started rehearsing holiday music. Please bring Mary Did You Know?, Bidi Bom and Christmas is Coming to our next rehearsal.

The Minneapolis Southside Singers is a vibrant community of seniors who share a passion for music and fellowship. Our director, Cheryl Markgraf, and accompanist, Monica Degeneffe, are both professional musicians and we're privileged to have them leading us. We perform a diverse repertoire ranging from classic standards to contemporary favorites, bringing joy to our community through song.
